  • Return to standing position and repeat with the other leg.

4. The Diagonal Lunge

  • Stand, feet together, dumbbells in hands
  • Stretch left leg, stepping wide back, 45 degrees diagonally to the back
  • Fold right knee to bend forward, back straight, heels off the floor
  • Lower dumbbells to the floor on either side of the right leg.
  • Pull back to standing position, repeat with other legs. 

5. The Shoulder Press

  • Stand with feet together, dumbbells above shoulder height
  • Kneel, by first bending the left knee, bringing it to the ground, followed by the right knee
  • Lift the left leg, then the right, return to standing position, all the while keeping the dumbbells above shoulder height.
  • Repeat, switching sides with the other leg
